2nd MCBU SFL INTERNATIONAL Staff Week 2026- “EnhancIng Well-BeIng through Sports, Nature, and Art Therapy”

In a world increasingly affected by economic and political instability, the devastating consequences of wars, and the growing impact of climate change, fostering well-being, resilience, and meaningful social connection has become more essential than ever. These global challenges influence not only societies at large but also the emotional and mental well-being of educators, youth workers, NGO professionals, and institutional staff across the world.

With this awareness, the School of Foreign Languages at Manisa Celal Bayar University (MCBU)  (https://enyabancidiller.mcbu.edu.tr/) is pleased to launch its call for participants for the 2nd Erasmus+ International Staff Week, to be held on 11–15 May 2026. This 5-day programme will bring together professionals from higher education institutions, NGOs, and other relevant organisations from across Europe and beyond to explore the theme of “Enhancing Well-Being through Sports, Nature, and Art Therapy.”

Designed as a holistic and interactive experience, the event will include outdoor activities, art therapy workshops, and collaborative sessions aimed at:

Promoting physical, emotional, and mental well-being,

Encouraging creativity, mindfulness, and self-expression through art-based practices (using art therapy techniques to support emotional awareness, stress management, and reflective thinking),

Strengthening intercultural dialogue, networking, and cooperation across sectors,

Inspiring participants to integrate well-being practices within their own institutions and communities.

Sport activities will be designed to foster physical wellness, team spirit, motivation, and the development of a healthy lifestyle through movement, outdoor exercise, and cooperative games.

A detailed programme outline will be shared at a later stage.

Target Group & Eligibility

This Staff Week is open to:

Institutions from Erasmus+ KA131 programme countries and KA171 international credit mobility partners,

Academic and administrative staff from higher education institutions,

Professionals and volunteers from NGOs,

Youth workers,

Individuals and practitioners interested in well-being, nature-based learning, sports, and art therapy approaches,

Participants with previous experience in related projects, as well as those who are planning to design, develop, or implement new initiatives in these areas.

Application Deadline

The application deadline is 1 April 2026.

We warmly invite colleagues from universities, NGOs, and related organisations who wish to share experiences, develop new perspectives, and engage in an inspiring international environment that values well-being, cooperation, and cultural exchange.

Can the training be funded through Erasmus+ STT grants? 

   Yes, each participant can apply for a mobility grant within his/her institution. We will provide all the required documentation for the Erasmus+ STT grant applicants: invitation and certificate of attendance. 

What is the cost of the program? 

The program package costs €120 and it includes: 

the training program facilitated by experienced trainers; 

lunch;  

snacks and coffee bar; 

a gala dinner; 

training materials; 

a cultural immersion day (Virgin Mary’s House, Ephesus Ancient City, Şirince Village, Şirince Orthodox Church visit, and Kuşadası) filled with history, culture and fun (Entrance fees are not included).
